Description:
I’m groovin’ on flowers for my upcoming show.
The namesake song for this one came out in 1965 written by 2 teenagers Toni Wine and Carol Bayer Sager. The Mindbenders turned into a hit shortly thereafter. The song is somewhat credited for popularizing the word “groovy” into the mainstream vernacular. Phil Collins musta also thought it groovy when he recorded his own version in 1988. He won a Grammy for it in 1989.
“When I’m feelin’ blue, all I have to do is take a look at you,
Then I’m not so blue.
When you’re close to me I can feel you heart beat
I can hear you breathing in my ear.
Wouldn’t you agree, baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love..”
