My earliest experiences of music that I can remember were of my mom playing her Elvis albums. Jailhouse Rock was released in 1957 before I had my first birthday. I grew up singin’ his tunes and watching his movies in awe. (Didn’t everybody?) This song reached #1 on the US pop, country and R&B charts, revealing the crossover potential that would eventually make Elvis a household name. Man, what a voice.🎤
