Description:
Inspired by another of my favorite Dan Fogelberg songs, a beautiful melody expressing the spirit of racing at the Kentucky Derby. The race, which began in 1883, is known as the Run for the Roses and the winner receives, in addition to the trophy and purse, a lovely blanket of 564 roses.
The #3 horse is my tribute to Secretariat, the Triple Crown winner in 1973.
